AMCP Foundation Key Activities
A research scholar in residence program, recognition of trend-setting student pharmacists and the creation of a deferred giving plan are some of the activities being developed for the AMCP Foundation’s 25th Anniversary Celebration. Your individual support will help propel then Foundation to a new level of engagement to advance managed care pharmacy its patient care.
Among the key activities to mark the Foundation’s milestone are:
Creation of the AMCP Foundation Research Scholar in Residence Program — A targeted fund of $100,000 will be raised to support the establishment of a position dedicated to researching the practices, trends and forecasts of managed care pharmacy. The position will be based at AMCP headquarters in Alexandria, Va., and will generate a wealth of resources for managed care pharmacists and other health care stakeholders.
Bringing Our Student Pharmacists Into the 1990 Club — In commemoration of the Foundation’s year of birth, a pool of student pharmacists and AMCP Diplomats will be cultivated to establish a community of managed care professionals of tomorrow. These individuals will be inaugural members of the 1990 Club, honoring the future of managed care pharmacy. Over 800 student pharmacists have benefited from the Foundation’s annual National P&T Completion and over 200 student pharmacists have gain career insights as participants in the Foundation’s summer internship programs.
The Key to Our Success 25th Anniversary Fundraising Campaign — Setting a goal of $250,000, the AMCP Foundation will bring together individual donors and corporate sponsors to continue the mission to facilitate research and study of the managed care pharmacist principles and profession, as well as pass that knowledge on to a new generation. A lasting Honor Roll will be posted at AMCP headquarters listing all campaign donors, as well as on the website, in addition to having your name added to a special time capsule to be opened in 2040.
Establishment of an Estate Planning Initiative — The AMCP Foundation has become a part of the lives of managed care professionals—now integrate your giving into bequests and memorial contributions. Such gifts can serve as a lasting legacy to your profession and to the AMCP Foundation. Depending on the gift structure, such contributions can provide significant tax advantages.
