From Paula’s Desk: The Importance of Year-End Giving

Dear #AMCPFdn Friends,
‘Tis the season to give back! We participated in GivingTuesday on Dec. 1, a day to bring change to our communities by giving of ourselves: our voices, time, talent, money. And wow, did AMCP members celebrate the collective spirit of generosity within managed care pharmacy! Nearly 90 donors contributed to AMCP Foundation, smashing all records and exceeding our goal of $10,000!! We are so grateful for each and every gift.
We hope to build upon this exciting momentum as we close out 2020! Many individuals and families will remain focused on giving throughout the holidays. Please remember #AMCPFdn as you make your final charitable investments for this year. Contact us if you’d like to discuss gifting stocks and securities, or if you’d like to set up a challenge gift — perhaps for your affiliate or pharmacy school alma mater. When you donate to AMCP Foundation today, you help AMCP transform pharmacy practice tomorrow.
Giving before the ball drops is more urgent this year than ever before.
The need is greater. COVID-19 and an uncertain economy are impacting charitable giving – here at AMCP Foundation, and in your community. Even a small gift will make you a superhero to your profession, at the local food bank or for a favorite performing arts organization. And if you’re not in a position to give, find some other way to help, like sharing a story on social media.
There is a special advantage available in the U.S. through the CARES Act, just for 2020. All taxpayers can deduct up to $300 with the universal charitable deduction!
So don’t delay, donate today.
Gratefully and hopefully,
Paula J. Eichenbrenner, MBA, CAE
