Former Summer Intern, Jennifer S. Graff, to Serve as AMCP Senior Director of Professional Affairs
In September, AMCP announced that Jennifer S. Graff, PharmD, would be joining the organization as senior director, professional affairs. Dr. Graff will lead strategic efforts for AMCP’s practice-related initiatives and work to advance patient outcomes and medication management strategies including formulary management, health information technology, value-based care, and quality.
Dr. Graff is a long-term member of AMCP and has been engaged in many activities of the organization, including serving as the AMCP Foundation/Pfizer Managed Care Summer Intern in 1999.
“The Foundation internship solidified my passion to understand how we can improve the current health care system while ensuring high-quality clinical care is available, accessible, and affordable to individuals, families, and employers,” said Dr. Graff. “The internship provided an “aha moment” as I reviewed dossiers describing the value of new medicines and underscored my interest in health economics to encourage efficient care and care delivery.”
Dr. Graff brings more than 20 years of experience in managed care leadership and research to her new role. Her illustrious career includes serving as vice president, policy research at the National Pharmaceutical Council, overseeing global outcomes research activities in the cardiovascular and endocrinology space at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, and authoring 35 peer-reviewed articles.
“I look forward to working closely with AMCP members and other stakeholders as we focus on supporting professional practice initiatives that will help sustain innovation and improve patient health,” said Dr. Graff. “AMCP provided integral support and guidance to me early on in my career and I am excited about this next chapter with the association.”
