2019 Poster Award Recipients at AMCP Nexus
For the first time, the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) Foundation hosed the Best Poster Competition at AMCP Nexus. Authors presented their research during Expo Hall hours and were judged on scientific merit, evidence that the research conducted was innovative and practical, the strength of the conclusions, the relevance of the study to managed care pharmacy practice, the clarity of the material, and the knowledge of the subject matter.
The Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of the 2019 Best Poster Awards at Nexus.
The 2019 recipients are:
- Best Student Pharmacist Poster: Amy Nguyen, a PharmD candidate at St. John's University, College of Pharmacy; "Improving Pharmacotherapies for Hypertension and Diabetes Among Hispanics."
- Best Graduate Student Poster: Mina Alsaraf Allo, PharmD, MPH, Pharmacy Resident at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health; “Regional and National Real-World Healthcare Resource Utilization, Clinical, and cost Outcomes of Type 2 Diabetes Patients Treated with SGLT2i."
- Best Senior Investigator Poster: Stacey DeCosta Byfield, PhD, MPH, Directory of Research, UnitedHealth Group Research and Development; "Evaluation of Treatment Patterns and Outcomes from Linked Claims plus Clinical Prior Authorization Data in Patients Diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC)."
