2019 Poster Award Recipients
The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of the 2019 AMCP Foundation Best Poster Awards. The competition drew 115 entries. The judging criteria included the paper's scientific merit, evidence that the research conducted was innovative and practical, the strength of the conclusions, the relevance of the study to managed care pharmacy practice, the clarity of the material, and the author's knowledge of the subject matter during his or her presentation.
The 2019 recipients are:
- Best Student Pharmacist Poster: Hillary Parkin, a PharmD candidate at the University of Utah, College of Pharmacy; "Medication Therapy Management: Outcomes of Telephonic Pharmacist Outreach"
- Best Resident or Fellow Poster: Hannah Lee-Brown, PharmD, Executive Fellow at Pharmacy Quality Alliance, Interventions Impacting Medication Access: A Scoping Review."
- Best Graduate Student Poster: Eric, Borrelli, PharmD, MBA, a PhD candidate at the University of Rhode Island, College of Pharmacy; "Medicare Part D Spending for Abiraterone and Enzalutamide in 2016."
In addition, an Honorable Mention was presented to Shiyu Zhang, PhD Candidate, and Gladys Brown, PharmD Candidate, University of Texas at Austin, College of Pharmacy, "Evaluation of Progesterone (17 a-Hydroxyprogesterone Caproate) Utilization and Adherence in Women with High-risk Pregnancy Covered by Texas Medicaid."
