AMCP Foundation Announces First Cathy A. Carroll Scholarship Recipients
We are thrilled to announce the inaugural Carroll Scholarship recipients! Our 2023 winners are Kendall Smith from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy, and Kevin Li from the University of Washington School of Pharmacy. The Cathy A. Carroll Scholarship, funded by AMCP Foundation’s Cathy A. Carroll Memorial Fund, honors the legacy of Cathy Carroll, PhD, MBA, BS Pharm an esteemed pharmacist and economist who was a trailblazer in outcomes research and strategic business development. The scholarship recipients align with Dr. Carroll's values and passion for the industry.
Chosen from a pool of exceptional student pharmacists, Kendall and Kevin have demonstrated outstanding dedication and achievements in their pursuit of a career in health and economic outcomes research (HEOR) or industry. The scholarship will be disbursed to their respective schools, and they will also receive a one-year complimentary AMCP student membership, providing access to valuable resources and networking opportunities.
- Kendall Smith is a 2024 PharmD candidate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy. She has had numerous leadership experiences, including being president for the AMCP chapter for her school and a semi-finalist for the AMCP Foundation National P&T Competition.
- Kevin Li is a 2024 PharmD Candidate at University of Washington School of Pharmacy, with a profound dedication to making a difference in HEOR. He is the president-elect for the AMCP Chapter of his school and a finalist for 2022 AMCP Foundation National P&T Competition.

These outstanding student pharmacists will also be joining us for Nexus 2023 at an AMCP Foundation donor breakfast celebrating their achievements and honoring Cathy’s memory.
