Foundation Launches Web App for Navigating AD Treatment
AMCP Foundation, along with PRIME Education and the Case Management Society of America (CMSA), recently launched a web portal that helps providers and patients navigate treatment around atopic dermatitis (AD). With one tool customized for patients and another for providers, all users are taken through informative and interactive activities on topics like diagnosis, communication, and prior authorization. These tools do not require downloading an app and can be easily viewed online on any device!
The web app for patients contains a downloadable “CareGuide” that users add to while proceeding through the modules. This resource will prepare patients (or their advocates) to speak with health care teams confidently about thoughts, questions, and concerns related to atopic dermatitis.
The insurance section for practitioners includes an FAQ on ePA and... free virtual CE! The web tool for health care providers offers 1.0 CME/CE for Physicians, Pharmacists, Advanced Practitioners, Nurses, and Case Managers.
The AD portal is the latest in a series of patient-provider tools offered by the Foundation and our partners. The series also includes portals for multiple sclerosis, irritable bowel disease, and dyslipidemia. Our goal is to provide innovative web-based resources to improve collaboration among patients, providers, and payers.
